As the first half of my term as your club president comes to a close, it has been great to witness the high level of enthusiasm, which is evident by the attendance at the morning meetings. Although we will be losing a few members, our overall membership has grown and I hope to see that pattern continue. We just completed our National Heritage program, which in my mind was a huge success. I would like to recognize Mark Meyer, Alan McGraw, Russell Gallahan, Marvin Felux, Juan Campaneria, and especially Gerald Boyer who coordinated this year's effort. The two teams were able to bring a memorable program to over thirteen hundred Round Rock ISD 5th graders. Great job gentlemen! Our last fund-raiser of the year, a golf tournament, will be held on Friday, April 19th, at Blackhawk Golf Club. Kent Ochel will be asking for our help to make this event successful. As always, may the good Lord bring peace and prosperity to each and every one of you and your families.

Well folks, Mid-Year is over.
The facilities at Baton Rouge were very nice, especially if you like to gamble...you don't even have to go outdoors. I believe this will be a good convention and I urge everyone who could, to attend.
The Registration fee will be $80.00, and the hotel room is $70.00 for a single or double room. Registration forms will be coming very shortly. The hotel is the Baton Rouge Sheraton Convention Center, located at 103 France Street in Baton Rouge. You must register first in order to park.
There was a lot of discussion about the combining of the Southwest and Midwest Regions. It seems neither region was happy with Tommy Brush's "done deal". Tom and I have just returned from 2 weeks in Florida and find that things have changed again. Will let everyone know about the latest proposal shortly.
