Many fellow members are still in need of Round Rock Sertoma shirts and hats. Keep in mind that the club shirt is required at club events. If your old shirt is tattered, torn, and stained with coffee, come see me for a new one. The shirts are $16.50 each and the hats are $6.50. Several of the new members are in need of shirts. If you want to have your named embroidered on your shirt, I know a very good company that does excellent work. Come see me.

The annual Appreciation Dinner/Holiday Banquet was held on Friday, Jan. 11th and from the comments I heard afterwards, the event was a success. There were 85 people in attendance. The dinner was provided by Dagar’s catering and they came through once again with a delicious meal. Thanks go out to Mark Meyer and Juan Campaneria who did a great job of bartending, my wife, Jann, who provided the beautiful decorations that night, Mike Whepley for doing the prayer & pledge, and Dot Gill who kept everything in order during the White Elephant gift exchange I also want to thank Cecil Latham for doing another fine job as Master of Ceremonies. “Have you thought about trying out at the comedy club?” The speeches that were given that evening by Kent Ochel , Jim Brock, and Jim Greene in regards to the fundraising efforts and where this money goes should have made everyone proud to be a member of this club. Marvin Felux also came through with a few laughs with the “Annual Christmas Tree Lot” awards. Last but not least, I want to also thank the following people who helped out with setup and cleanup: Tony & Sue Abbattista, Flo Abbattista, Cliff & Carol Woisin, Bill Von Rosenberg, Tom & Dot Gill, and anyone else I might have missed.
