Fund Raising 2001-2002

It's a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it.

I want to thank all Sertoma members who made this year a successful one for raising funds for our charities. Because of you, we raised more money than we ever have, even though economic conditions were not the best.

Our objective for this coming year should be to do even better, but this will only happen if each of you steps forward to make it happen. We have 4 major events:

bullet Casino Nite in October
bullet Christmas Tree sales from Thanksgiving through mid December
bullet Baseball Banquet with the Round Rock Express in early February
bulletGolf tournament in the early spring

We are still in need of a member to oversee the entire process as well as someone to manage each of the individual events. Please see Jim Greene or Kim Haugen if you are interested.

Please remember, our club's mission is to "Help Children Hear". The primary way we do this is to provide funds for individuals or organizations in need. Your dedication to the fund raising process is what makes this possible so NOW is the time to get involved.

Grant Approved !!

Good news! The Sertoma International Foundation has approved a $1,800.00 grant request to support our effort to purchase equipment for RRISD.  Kim Haugen will be working in collaboration with Viki Johnson, Sertoma member and RRISD lead speech pathologist.
