From Our Outgoing President...
Another Sertoma Year has drawn to a close. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support and hard work throughout this year. We have had great participation in our fundraising, community service, sponsorship and social activities.
I especially want to thank our new members who have committed themselves to our Club and who have provided new ideas and energy to all of us.
Special thanks also go out to this year’s Board of Directors and Committee Chairs. They have worked tirelessly to help our club reach some very aggressive goals.
We have had a great group of speakers at our Tuesday morning meetings who have informed and inspired us. Our fundraising efforts have allowed us to leave the year financially sound. Membership has expanded. Our sponsorship group carefully controlled the Club’s charitable efforts to ensure the greatest impact was achieved. Our social activities have been a blast!
The bottom line—our community is a better place because of our efforts this year. And, I think we are all better people for having served Round Rock and each other.
Thanks again for all of your support in 2003. I know that you will continue to expand your service to the new Board.

From the 2002-03 Governor and 2003-04 Incoming President...
It was quite an interesting trip to New Mexico. A lot of changes will be taking place at the International level. The new President, Bill Stanage, Jr. has Task Forces in place to find out exactly what the members needs are. One of the Task Forces deal with Services; they plan on having better and additional new training materials, communications, updated web site, new Sertoma magazine and a new Sertoma Digest, to name a few.
The services will also provide more direct training on-line. The training sessions/round tables were great this year.
The highlight of the Convention was the presentation of the International Serteen of the Year Award and a $1000 Scholarship to St. Edwards University for Crystal Agnew, of the Round Rock Zoi Ora Filos. Crystal is the 3rd Zoi Ora Filos to win this prestigious award. Congratulations!
We were sorry that Bill Hester, or International Director, was not elected International Vice President. Our new International Director is Alton Borel from East Texas.
This coming year is a ten month Sertoma year, due to the change in the fiscal calendar year.
Our 2004 Regional Convention will be held in Fort Worth and the International Convention will be in Kansas City, MO.
