Kristin and Sean Stevens have announced that they are expecting their first child in January; that means Kathy and Charlie Culpepper can be called grandma and grandpa. Speaking of babies, Mike Luscier is proud papa of his first child; Megan Luscier (8 lb. 3 oz) was born on May 14.

Jackie and Don Waldecker’s son, Brian, has recovered from his illness and is expected to return to work next week.

Mike and Regina Whelpley were in Boston, Massachusetts to attend their daughter’s graduation from law school.  Norma and Fred Adams’ children honored Fred on his seventieth birthday with a party for family and friends.

Many of our Sertoma members were on vacation traveling all over the nation. Mary Lee and Dick Reid droved over 5,000 miles in their Roadtrek seeing many sights including the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park.  Maxene and Marvin Felux were on a Tauck Tour of the Canyonlands including the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce and Zion National Parks.  Sylvia (along with her cats) and Kent Ochel, , have left on a six-week journey; they will tour the Northwestern US in their deluxe mobile home.

Dot and Tom Gill were gone two weeks on a trip to Florida where they visited her mother. Ann Shove and Bruce also visited Florida.  Carol and Cliff Woisin traveled to Boston to attend a wedding and visit with family.

Bill and LaVerne Rinken did not get to go to the Sertoma Convention. He’s about well now so they took a vacation to Rockport and Port Aransas.  Their son Michael, his wife and five grandchildren came from Denver to visit for the Memorial Day holiday.

There will be lots going on this summer; be sure to keep me posted as to your activities.

Attendance

For the 13 meetings in the third quarter, we averaged 56.1% attendance after make-ups.  During May we averaged 57.9%.  Several members were given makeup credit for attending the Regional Convention.  Nine of our members failed to attend a meeting, however the following 20 had perfect attendance for the quarter:
