Message from Our Leader

We have many accomplishments to be proud of as a club.  This became very clear to me over the past month.  I was able to hold not only my Club Leadership Conference, but also attended my first District Leadership Conference.  At the District Conference evidence was apparent that we have the quality  Club that most  aspire to be.  We have strong membership involvement, commitment to our communities, and great friendships.  We had the strongest attendance among the Sertoma clubs in attendance at the conference.  That is outstanding!  The following day we had our Club Leadership Conference.  It was a great time.  We were able to meet and discuss our goals for the upcoming year.  They will be focused on getting more involved in community projects and continuing to increase our membership.  We will also continue to focus on more  involvement of membership in our main fundraisers.  The more we spread it out the easier it becomes.  Remember, Casino Night is right around the corner.  Let's make sure we all play a roll in making our clubs contribution to Blue Santa!

Throughout the year we will be looking for ways to better get to know, not only our new members, but learn more about our current members.  Stay tuned for more information on how we will do this.

In addition to the fundraisers, the community projects, and the increase of membership, we must not forget one of the most important things... to have fun.  I and my board are fully committed to the club and want to create a year with the most fun we have had so far.  This will be a tall order for a club that already personifies fun, but my board is up for the challenge.

Do You ADD Value to this Club?

As a member of the Round Rock Sertoma Club there are five questions you might want to ask yourself to determine how much value you add to this club:

  1. Do those who work with you confirm that you add value to them?

  2. Do your ideas and plans directly impact the mission of Sertoma in a positive way?

  3. Are you worth much more than what you would be paid if Sertoma had to pay you?

  4. Do members of Sertoma constantly affirm your value to the organization?

  5. Do you do everything you can to add value to the leaders and other members of the Round Rock Sertoma Club?

Goals

Alice was puzzled.  As she searched for a way out of Wonderland, she came to a fork in the road.  “Which road should I take? she asked the Cheshire Cat.

“ Where are you going?” the cat responded.

Alice said she didn’t know.  The smiling cat gave her this reply:  “If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there".
