Did you know that the Round Rock Sertoma Club web site now receives an average of over 900 hits per day? Are you aware that 45% of the top 100 pages that visitors go to are related to our monthly Newsletters? People want to know who we are and what we're doing. The club web site is our open door to the local community at large and it is our responsibility to ensure that we provide an accurate picture of Round Rock Sertoma goals, activities, events and accomplishments. For this reason, it is critically important for all members (not just officers) to regularly contribute input for the monthly publication of our Newsletter. EMail your articles to our club Publicity Director, Gerald Boyer, no later than the 3rd Friday of the preceeding month and, if digital pictures are attached, please forward pictures in JPG format reduced to approximately 640X480 pixels in size.
Note: With our on-line Sponsorship Request Form, we have received requests from as far away as Arizona, California, Florida and even some foreign countries. These requests are naturally referred to other Sertoma clubs or Sertoma International.

Our Round Rock Sertoma Club is proud to have awarded $4,000 in College Scholarship to eight (8) RRISD graduating seniors. Two seniors from each of the local high schools, Round Rock High School, Stoney Point High School, and McNeil High School were given $500 scholarships. In addition, we presented two (2) $500 scholarships to members of our Serteen Club at Round Rock High School for their work in Zoi Ora Filos.
The recipients from Round Rock are Eric Snead and Diego Gonzales; from Stony Point are Julie Rogers and Nichole Kara Watson; from McNeil are Anne Thune and Katelin Calvert. Tiffanie Harrison and Meridith Wittie received the Serteen scholarships; Tiffanie was also our District and Regional Serteen of the Year.
Annie Thune is a part of the McNeil Deaf Education Program. She will use her scholarship to help fund a TTY (teletypewriter for the deaf) with her studies at Texas State. Eric Snead at Round Rock High School maintained a 3.50 GPA in spite of being severely hearing impaired.
