Golf Tournament Fast Approaching

We are committed to our date of June 11, 2004 at Avery Ranch Golf Club. Registration will begin at noon with lunch provided, followed by a shotgun start at 1:30 P.M. 

We will need help at the tournament, but more importantly, we need help with sponsorships and solicitation of golf teams. Please send our information to your friends and business associates.  The investment for each player is $100.00 which is more than reasonable for an event like this.  The tournament is to benefit Round Rock Health Clinic and other Sertoma charities.

We have a promise from Lindsey Bowman, our tournament contact at Avery Ranch, for the use of a suite at Dell Diamond for one night during the 2004 season.  Our plan is to have a raffle for the suite at $5.00 per ticket.  The winner receives the use of the suite for one night (excluding Fridays) and can invite thirteen guests to enjoy a night of food and baseball.  Five parking passes are also included.  We can start selling raffle tickets prior to the golf tournament and have the drawing at Frontier Days.  What a great way to raise extra funds and our members will have an opportunity to sell tickets at only $5.00 each for two months.

At press time for this issue we have only five players signed up for the tournament. We need players!! So please get with this project and support our effort to help the Round Rock Health Clinic.

The month of May was dedicated to and received its name from Maia, a goddess, whose father was Atlas.  The whole weight of the world was supposed to rest on his shoulders.

Of his seven daughters, Maia was considered to be the most famous because of her beauty and her lovely figure.  Her son, Mercury was the winged messenger of gods.
